So my pipecleaner art is getting pretty well known around town (though one coworker did ask me if I didn't think it was time I give up the tiaras...blaspheme!!!) and has inspired some people to try a little pipecleaner art themselves. I had played with the idea before, but it's becoming more and more aparent that I need to make a book on Pipecleaner Whimsy.

I'm not really sure how I would approach trying to get this book created, but the more I think of it, the more I want to do it. I will even have a section on Pipecleaner Philosophy. "When you start to get frustrated, just get out a fresh pipecleaner. There are always more."

In other news, I started work on a hallowe'en tiara. I love the holidays!!! There are always special packs of pipecleaners with colors you wouldn't find any other day of the year. Now, of course, my collection of pipecleaners is getting out of hand. Out of hand, she says? Pah! No such thing.

How true.

I love the whimsy of your pipe cleaner art! Maybe you should move up from tiaras to HATS!

I can see, years down the line, a huge Chiquita Banana style hat with all the fruit. That'd be EPIC. ;)

I've done one hat so far...well, it's really more of a crown, but it counts! It's the Queen of Hearts. And who knows what the future holds for me and the pipecleaners!

...whoops! I didn't notice your Cocoa Tiara was actually a... um... tiara at first. =o In my defense, the tiara part was off the camera; what I saw was a wonderfully constructed ornament or set piece instead.

*grin* That's easy to overlook, certainly. The tray does overhang the tiara base quite a bit, so even people who see it live are often confused, unless they know me. All of my art on here, with the exception of the radishes and corks, are tiaras, and I wear them all at work.

Thanks for the :+devwatch:
I hope something in my gallery inspires you to try some more advanced projects(not that there's anything wrong with your Tiaras!...I started out with a simple pair of Elton John-style glasses and now I can make anything that creeps into my warped imagination...)
Cheers

Ha ha! We shall see. I mainly make them to wear at work (I have a fanbase, apparently...people get upset if I'm not wearing one) I have in mind a...hippie one, if you will. YinYang, Peace symbol, Smiley face (darn Walmart...)
